EXIT CLOSURE ADVISORY: The contractor, Archer Western, contracted by The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to construct the Woodall Rodgers Deck Park, will close the eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway exit to Pearl Street on December 1, 2010. This closure is scheduled to be in place for approximately four months.

The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the traveling public as the contractor constructs a straddle abutment over the exit ramp to support the park structure. This straddle abutment will in turn support the beams that form the foundation for the park.

Eastbound Woodall Rodgers traffic bound for the Pearl Street exit will be directed to exit at the Field Street/Griffin Street exit instead. Signage has been in place informing motorist of the upcoming closure. Motorists should follow the marked detour or consider seeking an alternate route.

TxDOT strives to minimize the impact of the closures to area motorists by limiting the work to occur during off-peak hours or weekends, limiting the number of closures and limiting the duration of closures such as this one.

* When you get close, there are blue direction way-finding signs that say “American Airlines Center” at various intersections, directing you to American Airlines Center.

Travel US-75 (Central Expressway) South toward downtown Exit 1A to Waco (I-35E S)
Immediately, take the Pearl Street exit
Stay on the service road to Olive St.
Turn right onto Olive Street to American Airlines Center and turn right on N Houston St.

From The Northwest

Travel South I-35E (Stemmons Freeway) toward downtown Dallas
Take the Oaklawn/Victory Ave/Hi Line Exit Stay on the service road
Turn left on Victory Ave.

From The South

Travel I-35E North (Stemmons Freeway) to Denton
Exit 429C to Victory Ave/Hi Line Dr
Right on Victory Avenue

From The West / Fort Worth
